As part of a year-long 50th Anniversary Celebration, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and the California State Railroad Museum Foundation are proud to present “The Wine & Cheese Zephyr,” a blast from the not-so-distant past.. This unique evening event will feature a selection of cheeses, wines, and memories-in-the-making.

“The Wine & Cheese Zephyr” last ran in the mid-1990s, but Railtown 1897 has brought it back for a special one-time-only event. Guests will be treated to a selection of special cheeses, wine pairings, and a delectable dessert. This intimate event is limited to 50 passengers, for a scenic evening ride with the railroad’s historic Sierra No. 28 steam locomotive.  During the ride, passengers may wander through historic railroad cars and listen to music, while enjoying the beautiful foothills of the Mother Lode region at sunset. The train departs from the Railtown depot at 7 p.m. for a leisurely two-hour ride.
